"Odario and I have been friends for years, but until last year we'd never actually worked together creatively. When we first spoke about me remixing some Grand Analog stuff, I was intrigued because the opportunity came while I was transitioning out of my traditional hip hop sampling phase and into more of an original composition and electronic direction. 'Let Disco' was the first of two tracks I worked on for the guys, and I'm really excited about how it came together!"
Grand Analog is a group of record collectors, musicians and self-described beat junkies whose sound is a beautiful mess of rap 'n' roll, dub ‘n’ soul. Critically acclaimed albums, “Modern Thunder”, “Metropolis Is Burning” and “Calligraffiti”, boast an infectious array of soundscapes that “sweeten its hip-hop cocktail with dubby reggae, wah-wah funk and Bo Diddley beats.”
